Swing Science FC-One + Driver

I built this today 6/6/23 to fill out my Swing Science FC-One Plus set. Update 6/10/23 after 27 holes….see below.

14 deg. loft, +.05 face angle, 44.50″ playing length, Moi heft match 2825 kg-cm2 toe down on a Swing Science FC-One Plus 65g gram “A” flex shaft and Swing Science blue Buffed Velvet grip.

Testing to begin and will check back with results. Right now this Swing Science driver matches up well with the Swing Science FC-One Plus set.

Update 6/10/23 after playing the Swing Science FC-One Plus driver 14 deg. loft, 44.50″ playing length on a Swing Science FC-One Plus “A” flex 65g driver shaft for 27 holes this week. My findings are, I am really pounding the SS FC-One Plus driver great loft for my senior swing on a FC-One Plus “A” 65g shaft. Seniors and those that have that below 90 mph club head speed are missing out on this driver. I like the sound/feel much better very solid and not tinny. Solid Plus head and great shaft in the 65g range for seniors that still have some strength physically that don’t match up well with ultra lite driver shafts. Scott

Custom Fit/Built Swing Science FC-One Pro Forged Irons

A local client Albert H. from Madison, WI took delivery 7/13/17 on his custom fit and custom built Swing Science FC-One Pro Forged satin finish irons 4 – PW shafted with True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 .355 taper and PURE Pro Birdie Blue grips. The Pro Forged irons were custom fit to Series #5 True Length Technology and swing weight heft matched for Albert.

Albert had played Mizuno MP-32 blades in standard length and lie and commented that the new Pro Forged irons were…..“more forgiving on slight miss hits and more solid.” Albert’s general miss was a heavy draw and the new shafts with corrected lie and heft match cut down on his draw and made them more playable.

Swing Science FC-One Plus Irons

The Swing Science Plus iron is a great alternative for the recreational golfer that needs a bit of help on off center impacts along with sole forgiveness help on “fat” shots. These irons are a great ultra game improvement iron. It comes 5i to PW and the regular FC-One iron can be used from the PW, GW and SW or you can go with the FC-One wedges. Above the 5i one can go with hybrids or for those that are fit best with a matching same iron shaft as in their irons one can choose the FC-One Utility Iron in 3UI, 4UI and 5UI. A number of possibilities exist for the best performance for the individual golfer along with various weight steel and graphite FC-One shafts. These come in 2 colors of blue.

Fitting is done with the same head and various shafts of correct playing length and lie adjustments. Don’t be put off by enormous costs of off the rack irons when you can start with a well fit set of irons for the recreational golfer. (Example a FC-One Plus iron with FC-One 1150i steel and a Swing Science matching Dual Density grip is $45/iron.) Other shafts and grip combinations come at various pricing. Fitting cost extra.

Swing Science FC-One Pro Forged Satin Finish

Swing Science has announced the FC-One Pro forged iron will be added to the Swing Science line up in May 2017. This is good news as the S800 forged iron had been out of the line up for some time.

The FC-One Pro forged head is made using 1025, or SC-25, carbon steel, even softer feeling, and more malleable, than the original S800 series forged released in 2008, which was made using 1035. They will come with a .355 tapered hosel rather than .370 parallel hosel. This allows use of the FC-One Pro iron shaft for players that have a a bit higher mid-iron swing speed with later release for a lower piercing ball flight or the use of Nippon .355 tapered iron shafts for various player swing types. The FC-One Pro forged head will come in a satin finish pictured above or black. I have yet to see the black or know how the finish will wear over time.

The will be a great forged head interesting to mid to low hdcp level players.
